Supreme

Another popular street/skate wear brand I thought I'd mention is Supreme.
Formed back in 1994 in NYC, Supreme opened up in downtown Lafayette Street and became home to the New York City Skate culture.

Embracing Skate kids, punks and even hip hop heads, Supreme established itself as a brand known for its quality and authenticity.

Releasing limited quantities of stock, the store frequently has large queues of kids wanting to purchase alimited pieces.

A highly sorted item is their box logo items which although a basic design, usually sell out in hours if not minutes. I must admit I do own a few pieces of Supreme garments which have this box logo - from tees, sweaters, caps and bags.
Recently though I feel they haven't maintained the originality which once appealed to me and my friends. Favouring to release designs of artists wearing the box logo tee such as Mike Tyson, Lou Reed and even Kermit the Frog.

I must admit although the tee designs aren't the best designed, and the print quality is quite poor, Supreme still do construct quality cut and sew garments and their prices are competitive unlike their japanese competitors.

I always admired how their tees were only $24.00 to purchase which is approx only £15.00. How can the independents such as myself compete with that. Saying that I haven't purchased a piece for over 8 yrs now so prices may have increased.
Still a nice brand which I feel I should have mentioned a while back.
